Editorial & Medical Review Policy

Last reviewed: 4 June 2026

This page explains how Dr. Shinde's Ayurvedic Cancer Care Clinic creates, reviews, and maintains the health information published on this website. We take responsibility for what we publish because the people who read it are often patients and families making difficult decisions. Our aim is that every page is accurate, honest about what Ayurveda can and cannot do, and clear that our care is intended to support patients alongside conventional cancer treatment.

Our editorial principles

We write for patients and caregivers first, and we hold our content to the following standards.

Accuracy. We describe Ayurvedic supportive care truthfully. We do not claim that Ayurvedic treatment cures cancer, and we do not promise specific outcomes. Where we describe potential benefits — such as helping manage the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, supporting quality of life, or supporting overall wellbeing — we frame them as supportive aims, not guarantees.

Integrative, not alternative. Our consistent position is that Ayurvedic care works best alongside conventional oncology, not in place of it. We encourage every patient to remain under the care of a qualified oncologist and to discuss any complementary treatment with their treating doctor.

Transparency. Content is attributed to a named practitioner, carries a review date, and is updated when our understanding changes. Patient stories reflect individual experiences and are not predictions of results for others.

Patient safety. We avoid language that could lead a patient to delay or abandon evidence-based treatment. When a topic involves serious or advanced disease, we direct readers toward professional medical care.

Who writes and reviews our content

Health content on this site is prepared by our clinical team and reviewed by a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner before publication. Our practitioners hold the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B.A.M.S.) qualification and practise Ayurvedic medicine in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

We use the term "Ayurvedic practitioner" or "Ayurvedic specialist" to describe our team. The B.A.M.S. is a degree in Ayurvedic medicine; it is distinct from an MD or DM in medical oncology, and we do not represent our practitioners as conventionally qualified oncologists.

How we review content

Before a health page is published, it is checked against this policy: is it accurate, does it avoid cure or "no side effect" claims, does it position Ayurveda as supportive, and does it point readers toward their oncologist where appropriate? Each reviewed page records a review date and the reviewing practitioner. We re-review content periodically and whenever we become aware that information needs correcting.

Sources and evidence

Where we refer to research on Ayurvedic approaches in cancer care, we aim to point to reputable sources such as peer-reviewed journals and recognised medical institutions. The evidence base for integrative Ayurvedic oncology is still developing, and we try to represent it honestly rather than overstating it. We welcome readers checking our claims against independent sources.
